Webinar 1: Local leadership, or from usual suspects to local heroes - How to work together with your citizens towards a low-carbon society

Webinar 2: Thinking ahead in local policies for successful energy and mobility transitions


Dr. Giuseppe Pellegrini Masini (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway), Dr. Frances Sprei (Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden) and Terry Albronda (Groningen Municipality, Netherlands) discuss how to implement social innovation for a successful energy transition in various levels of society. The webinar took place 3 June 2020.


NOTE due to technical issues the announcement of the SMARTEES Webinar #3 was cut short. The topic will be the upcoming SMARTEES sandbox tool based on model simulations of citizen acceptance of innovative policies - details to be announced at a later date.

Webinar 3: Can computer simulations make transitions more successful?

The final SMARTEES webinar features discussions with project experts and cities on using computer simulations make sustainability transitions more successful. It presented the SMARTEES Policy Sandbox Tool for participants, allowing the simulation of different social innovation scenarios in sustainable energy- and mobility transitions. The webinar took place on 14 October 2021.
